Abstract Inguinal hernia in children is the result of failure obliteration processus vaginalis or weakness abdominal wall. The incidence inguinal ranges from 0.8-5%. It more common preterm babies with an up to 30%.There disagreement concerning management infants worldwide few favor early repair due fear incarceration while some are against it. This study was conducted determine frequency intestinal obstruction for development a proper protocol hernias. Methods A total 112 patients were included study. patient’s gender and age recorded. presence confirmed clinically by performing ultrasound. All relevant data recorded pre-designed printed proforma. Results In this study, included. 73% between 1-6 months 27% 7-12 months. mean 5 ±5.87. Male 86% female 14%. An obstructed observed 11% 89% didn’t have hernia. Conclusion Our concludes that incarcerated mostly occurring at younger male children.
